I.An Introduction to the Institute
The Educational Science Research Institute of Hunan,originating from the Higher Education Research Studio established in 1981, was formally set upin 2006 and is authorized to confer doctoral degreesin the secondary discipline of “EducationalManagement”, master’s degreesin the primary discipline of “EducationalScience” and the secondary discipline of “EducationalEconomics and Management”, as well as the professional master’s degreesin education. Meanwhile, theInstitute also carries out post-doctoral cultivation in its mobile Post-doctoral Research Station of Management Science and Engineering.
The Institute, byintegrating functions of personnel training, scientific research, consultancy service and publicationof educational theory journals,boasts of provincial research centers such as the Education Appraisal Research Center of Hunan Province and the Children and Teenagers’ Organizational andideological Awareness Education and Research Center of Hunan Province as well as one of the educational science research bases under the 13thprovincial “Five-year Plan” , namely the Higher Education Quality and Appraisal Research Base of Hunan Province. Moreover, theInstitute has the following secondary disciplines, includingPrinciples of the Educational Science, Curriculum and Teaching Methodology, Higher Education Science and Educational Economics & Management.

IV.Requirements for Applicants

1.Basic Requirements for Teaching and Scientific Research
(1) Teaching Capability
The applicant applying for teaching posts must be capable of carrying out talent-cultivation in the intended disciplines and be competent to teach both basic and professionalcoursesas well as provide mentor-ship and advice to the postgraduate students.
(2)Scientific Research Capability
The applicant must have an active academic mind with profound academic potential.For a senior post, the applicantshallhave a stable and frontier researchfocus, possess research fruits with certain academic influence, boast an open vision and deep insight to national strategic needs and global academic trendingin his discipline,and have the potentialto grow into an academic leader in his field of study.
For an intermediate post, the applicant shall be relatively stable in his study orientation, capable of grasping the frontier development in his field, as well as in possession of some moderate academic fruits.
2.Other Requirements
(1) Diploma Requirement: the applicant shall hold doctoral degree from overseas or domestic universityorresearch instituteenjoying wide recognition and fame.
(2) Age Requirement: the applicant shall be no more than 45 years old for the professor’s position and no more than 35 for the associate professor’s position in principle. For outstanding talents, the age requirement can be lowered to some extent. This requirement is not binding on high-level talents.
(3) Foreign Language Requirement: the applicant shall be proficient in usingthelanguage to conduct academic exchanges in an international context.

I.The recruited can enjoy salary according to his title and rank of position.
II.OtherWelfare:
Scientific ResearchStart-up Fund: the university will provide 150000RMB/person for assistant professor, 300000RMB/person for associate professor and 500000RMB/person for professor in humanities and social science to start their research. Thefundwill be managed as that of a government-sponsored project and paid on a yearly basis according to his research plan.
SettlementPay(before tax): the university will provide a settlementpayof 150000RMB/person for assistant professor, 200000RMB/person for associate professor and 300000RMB/person for professor.
Yuelu Scholars Program: the program establishes three kinds of posts, namely the leadership post, the special post and the rising star post, which are open to competition from inside and outsidethe university. The Yuelu scholar while enjoying the salary correspondent to his position will also be entitled to the Yuelu Scholarpost allowance, the standards of which are respectivelyset at300000RMB/year for the leadership post, 200000RMB/year for Class-A special post, 150000RMB/year for Class-B special post, 120000RMB/year for Class-A rising star post and 60000RMB/year for Class-B rising star post.
