Course Introduction
Visualization is one of the important methods of information processing and analysis in the era of big data. This course will teach the basic theories of data visualization, supplemented by programming experiments guiding students to master visualization-related programming techniques. Meanwhile, this course will introduce cases of visualization research of advanced teams worldwide, which aims to broaden students' horizons and provide them the vision of the frontier development of data visualization. Through this course, students will understand how to use a wealth of visual expression methods and techniques to understand, process and represent complex data, master the basic ideas and main methods of visualization, and be equipped with a visual understanding of data thinking, and then have capabilities of visual design and basic front-end implementation.
