As badminton star teacher YANG whips his arm through a shot, his racquet pulls off a neat trick. On contact, materials inside the frame filter out both high- and low-pitched soundwaves, making an off-center hit sound like a solid strike and a clean smash pop like a firecracker. The sonic barrage intimidates opponents and gives teacher YANG yet another edge...and we all know exercise is essential in staying healthy, keeping our minds happy and positive.

In order toenrich the cultural life and to improve the physical quality of the teachers and students after school, on the afternoon of January 7 at the badminton hall of Hunan University Gymnasium, HNU CSEE Union led the way and held the “To Celebrate The New Year” friendly badminton match to promote the communications between teachers and students.

为丰富广大师生的课余文化生活，提高师生身体素质，促进老师和学生之间的交流，1月7日下午在湖南大学体育馆羽毛球馆，由我院工会牵头举办了“喜迎新春”师生羽毛球友谊赛。

A total of nearly 40 teachers and students participated in the friendly match. The match offered a total of 3 formats: mixed doubles, men's doubles, women's doubles and a total of five games. In the five games, our faculty team won with a higher score of 3-2 victory. During play, teachers and students learned badminton skills from each other, not only that, they also harvested deep friendship between all.

此次友谊赛共有近40名师生参加。比赛共设混合双打、男子双打、女子双打三个项目，共五场比赛。在五场比赛中，教工队以大比分3：2取得胜利。通过比赛，师生相互切磋，既提升了球技，更收获了浓浓的师生情谊。
