On the afternoon of September 24th, school of Economics and Trade of Hunan University held the meeting for international students in 2021 autumn semester. Hangtian Xu (the assistant of the dean), Yuyi Gong (the international students office), Hmeidatt Abdeljelilthe (foreign postdoctoral fellow of the college), and international students from all over the world attended the meeting. The meeting was held online due to the pandemic.

On behalf of theschool, Hangtian Xu welcomed the international students to join the big family of economics and trade, and briefly introduced the history and current situation of the school and the university. He introduced the basic information of the international programs of ourschool, the teaching modules and forms of this semester, the policy of Granting scholarships to public funded international students by China Scholarship Council during the pandemic period, and the schedule of thesis proposal and defense. After that, Hmeidatt Abdeljelilthe, shared his experience in his master's, doctoral and post-doctoral studies and research in China from various aspects including course learning, academic research, cultural and language adaptation, interaction with tutors, campus life at Hunan University, etc. In the final Q&A session, students had a free exchange on tutor selection, thesis topic selection, course credits, scholarships and other issues. The meeting was presided over by Yuyi Gong.
