1. Discipline introduction
Applied Economics (II) mainly studies the application of modern economics in real economic society and related fields. It emphasizes both solid economics theoretical foundation and flexibility and adaptability in practice, strives to integrate theory with practice, and conducts pragmatic analysis of real problems. Following international standards, our institute's core courses mainly cover Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Econometrics, and Mathematical Economics. Students choose field courses and write a term paper in the second year, and write a master thesis in the third year. Applied economics provides important policy guidance on the efficient, fair and sustainable development of the economy and society.
2. Training objectives
Guide students to grasp solid basic theoretical knowledge in this field, master advanced professional knowledge which they will engage in the future, acquire basic knowledge in professional field, and learn basic theories and methods in applied economics. After three years of study, students will have a good understanding of basic theory and technique in economics, mathematics, and related computer software. After graduation, they will be qualified for management work in both industrial enterprise and public institution, such as government sector and financial institutions, or become researchers or instructors at higher education institutions.
